Japan's Male Vision...

It appears to me that Vogue Hommes Japan is really determined to upgrade Vogue Hommes International...

Take a look at October's Accesiores suplemment... It's nice to see a boy wering a feather head piece...

Pa-Pa-Paparazzi...

Tommy Ton maybe the greatest street style photoblogger in the world! His very own Jak & Jil is my favourite source when it comes to people in the streets... He is the man of the moment!

His photographs include models, fashion editors, fashion designers... every VIP in the fashion bussiness!

Recently, he became Style.com's it boy by documenting what people are wearing in the streets od NY, London, Milan and Paris for the Spring/Summer 2010 RTW shows.

(Plus, he's the guy sitting Front Row at Dolce & Gabbana, blogging next to Anna)
Check out his blog http://jakandjil.com/blog/ and his collaboration with Style.com

80's Bass

This is how they do it in Vogue Usa... :P
So, today we were helping MARB at her photoshoot, and we decide to play around a little bit...

Tom Ford's new gig...

When Tom Ford left Gucci and YSL he set his eyes on Hollywood... Then rumors started to show up, and finally (6 years later) official news about "A Single Man" starring Juliane Moore and Colin Flirth.

The film it's based on an actual novel of the same name, that tells the story of a gay British college profesor living in Southern California in the sixties.

I'm not sure if it will be a good directing debut for Mr. Ford, 'cause the trailer has no freakin spoken words... but it sure looks S T U N N I N G ! !

The movie will premiere December 4th 2009 at a limited release (to qualify for the Academy Awards) and then comes a wider release in early 2010.

Can't wait to see it... you can judge by the trailer...

(sorry 'bout the link... somewhow I couldn't insert the youtube video :P)

Grand Finale...

90's are back!! Well, at least on Dolce & Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2010 show...

Silk & Lace, corsets, strong women suits, light runway, white background... it's all a blast from the past... It's nice, it's refreshing, and still, they mantain the attention to details acquired on the last few seasons... Thumbs up for Domenico & Stefano... I won't say it's genious, but they did what they're known for... sensuality.

Plus... check out the grand finale... instead of ball gowns (like past shows) they gave us pure D&G!

Slimane does Pattinson...

Robert Pattinson (yes, the pretty guy from Twilight) covers the Autumn/Winter issue of AnOtherMan on a photoshoot by Hedi Slimane... actually, they tweeted this a week ago... a surprise cover "boy"...

You know, it wasn't that big of a surprise... he's everywhere.

Anyway, the actor appears in a James Dean kinda look, one that Nicola Formichetti knows really well... after all, he's the kind of man Hedi loves to shoot...

This goes to MARB... I know you'll love this hun!!

New Haircut...

Yes, I really needed a change... Do you like it??

UPDATE: my mom hates it!!!

They're back!

Gossip Girl is back for another season...
So this means more sex, more drama, more comedy and, what else, MORE FASHION!
TV's hottest (fashion) show is now airing, and I couldn't be any happier. The gang are college students now, and they do look a little bit mature... but of course they still have their trademark.
Here's a sneak peek of the fashion from the first 3 episodes... Loves it!

You know you love me. XOXO. Charles Bass

It really is coming...

A tribute to Mr. Bass...

I know, there's already a Charles Bass... Chuck Bass.

Do you know why did I chose the name??

Because he represents everything I idealize on a man: Sofistication, Great Sense of Style, Cockiness and at the same time Vulnerability.

Ok, so he is a fictional character, and I gotta give big credit to Ed Westwick for his amazing portrayal of the Upper East Side's antihero.

Plus, the clothes. He has a classic, clean, sharp look, but with an edge. That's something!

Do you love Chuck Bass??

I know I do.

Remember how Alessandra Facchinetti got fired??

Ok, so Tom Ford called... he wants his signature look back. So does Riccardo Tisci.
Frida Giannini presented Gucci for Spring/Summer 2010 and she finally did what Gucci represents: Luxury.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she stopped making this boho looks, but, as I was checking out her show, I couldn't help to notice it has a very obvious Ford/Tisci mix up.

You know, the jewelry bathing suits, the dresses with visible skin, the clean hairdos, the 70's kinda vibe... I mean, Come On!!!

Again, it's nice to see her doing this luxurious pieces, and it is a beautiful collection, but remember, Alessandra Facchinetti got fired for doing the exact same thing Tom Ford used to do...

Bloggers are Everywhere!!

Not only did Burberry had laptops on their fashion show's afterparty for bloggers to post anything... Now Dolce & Gabbana had bloggers posting ON FRONT ROW!! (so close to Anna... i wonder what she thinks about this...)

NYLON's biggest flop...

Megan Fox is on the cover of NYLON... seriously???

Ok, i get it, you are a magazine. You want your sales to increase. How?? By getting some hot chick.

But, have you forgot you're a fashion magazine??

I heard she's been called (by male magazines) "The hottest woman alive".

Here's a question: Why on earth would you choose someone that's also been called (by fellow celebrities) "trailer trash", "vulgar" and "rude" as your cover girl??

You see, this is the thing with Vogue. They choose only A-List celebrities. But not any celebrity.

They get Fashionable A-List Celebrities.

You don't see Paris Hilton on their pages. Not even Britney, who according to Guinness Record is the most photographed person EVER!!

Plus, how dare you call her "It Girl"???

This is a big No No for you NYLON guys. No No!

Studs are Back people!!

One of the biggest trends right now are definitely studded pieces (dresses, shirts, shoes...).

We are in rough times, so fashion responds with rough details! Cool, isn't it??

They've been out there for a while, but now they are everywhere! And I gotta tell you I love it.

I guess the responsable for the "stud-fever" would have to be Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy... He's the man that made 'em so fashionable...

The question is: Are you ready for them?? I know I am.

Let's talk about GaGa...

Lady GaGa may not appear on any Best Dressed List any time soon... but that's a good thing!!

Best Dressed Lists are made for trendy, chic, stylish people who follow fashion trends as a religion (they are the people that make the fashion industry worth billions).
GaGa is so not about that... she's about what fashion really is: Self Expression.

She haves fun, she loves fashion, and clearly fashion loves her.

Let GaGa be!

There's a She Wolf in Couture...

Take a look at Shakira on the October Issue of Vanity Fair wearing nothing but Couture!!
The She Wolf appears wearing fresh-off the runway couture by Armani, Chanel, Gaultier and Dior.
She sold her soul the first time she wore Balmain...

I guess she's no longer "bruta, ciega, sordomuda, torpe, traste, testaruda"...

This is why I still love Donatella...

Versace Spring/Summer 2010

Burberry Prorsum S/S 2010

Burberry made fashion history by becoming the first brand livestreaming a fashion show.

One of Bailey's best collections (now we know the reason for this kind of move). It has the distinctive look from the last shows, but this time, it has this "je ne sais quoi" that makes it so beautiful. Light fabrics, gorgeous palette and the attention to details are the elements that keep Christopher Bailey in today's top lists.

Coming Soon

I Am Charles Bass

Hi everyone!
Do you remember your childhood days?? The ones when you couldn't stop touching and observing everything around you... ooh those days...
I remember those days, when all I wanted to do was to grow up... Weird, huh??
I know, I was kind of a weirdo... Of course I used to live as a kid, but there was something about being a grown up that kept me so interested.
One of the things I was so interested in: my mom's fashion magazines...
There was something about those pages... The models, the dresses, the glamour... you name it! I guess I always knew I was going to be in fashion (I used to make dresses for my sister's Barbies when I was 6 years old).
And here I am, making this blog (something I've always wanted to do, but the timing was never right)... I'm here to keep you posted about my passion, my career, my life...

Enjoy!!
